ABOUT FATOU…
Fatou Kinteh was born in the North Bank Division of Gambia, Kinteh, Kunda.
She enjoyed a lively childhood among her siblings.
She completed her early education at Kerewan Upper Basic School and graduated high school from St. Joseph Secondary School in Banjul, Gambia.
In 2009 she married her loving husband Faburama Saloumba Kinteh, then moved to America a year later. As an International student and wife in Louisville, Kentucky, Fatou began to focus on healthy hair care and beauty.
With full support and encouragement of her husband, she decided to make her dreams, as a salon owner, come true. Fatou, a mother of three at the time, graduated from cosmetology school in 2014. In 2015, she gained her masters and started her apprenticeship.
Three years later, Fatou’s dream of being a salon owner came true!
Hair City has been in operation since 2018, and has grown to over four
professional hairdressers and now offers various health and beauty services.
Fatou Kinteh is an example that any dream is possible when you have a wonderful husband, amazing siblings, and the overwhelming support of family, friends, and clients.
